A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square (Hammond).WMV
A clip taken from one of Peter Hayward's original VHS concert video series - 'Drawbar Magic'. Here Peter plays the haunting melody - A NIGHTINGALE SANG IN BERKELEY SQUARE - on a vintage Hammond X77 tonewheel (drawbar) organ : Hand-registering the organ, and creating his own 'instant' arrangement of this much loved tune. 'Live music' - played straight from the heart, and including a rare glimpse of the famous Hammond "ARPEGGIATOR" - a roller-bar device, for creating smooth, sustained arpeggios (Harp-like runs) and which first appeared on the X66 model in 1967, before finding its way onto the X77. Hope you enjoy Peter's version of this lovely tune, played in true Hammond style.
