2026 Mazda CX-5 AWD | A Family-sized Crossover That Likes To Be Spanked! | Review by Nauman Farooq

By Nauman Farooq The CX-5 is the best selling model in Mazda showrooms for over a decade. It is so popular, that while Mazda has been changing the names of the rest of its line (CX-3 has become the CX-30, CX-9 has become the CX-90, etc.), the CX-5 is still called the CX-5. For a few years, a model by the name of CX-50 was sold here in Canada (it got pulled thanks to the trade war that Trump started with Canada), but it was a different vehicle to the CX-5. It had been a few years since Mazda had given us an all-new CX-5, but in 2026 we get just that! Built in Hiroshima, Japan, the new CX-5 is exempt from any silly tariffs; also the quality of stuff made in Japan is nicer - so it is a very nice vehicle! However, in the past, the CX-5 meant two things to me, noisy (as in, road and mechanical noises) and boring. So has Mazda fixed that now with this all-new 2026 CX-5?
