PARLIAMENT PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN MP, HELEN NAKIMULI

Government has launched investigations into the circumstances which led to the death of the former woman member of Parliament for Kalangala District Helen Nakimuli. The minister for ICT and National Guidance Chris Baryomunsi told parliament during a sitting to pay tribute to the fallen legislator. Nakimuli has been described as a unifier with a commitment to social-economic transformation of the people of Kalangala District. The MPS welcomed the move to investigate the cause of her death. The remains of the late Helen Nakimuli arrived at Parliament in the morning of Wednesday escorted by a police honor guard and received by the administration of Parliament. Later, there was public viewing at the Parliament lobby where several dignitaries including politicians appeared.
