48 Hours Eating New York's Most FAMOUS Food!

I Ate In Every 2026 World Cup Host City: New York This is the most iconic food city in the world… but does New York City actually live up to the hype? As part of my mission to eat in every 2026 FIFA World Cup host city, I’ve come to New York to find out where really has the best food. From world-famous institutions to local favourites, this is everything you need to eat in NYC. I started at Katz’s Delicatessen for one of the most famous sandwiches in the world… a towering pastrami on rye that people queue hours for. Then headed to Pizza Loves Emily for their legendary burger, before trying some of the best pizza in the city at L’Industrie Pizzeria. No trip to New York is complete without a proper bagel, so I stopped by Russ & Daughters, before finishing at John’s of Bleecker Street, one of the most historic pizza spots in the city. This is not just a food tour. It’s a deep dive into the culture, history and stories behind some of the most iconic food in the world.
