THE HISTORY OF PAGADIAN Written by Marcelo R. Dablo on the year 1965 _________________________________________________________________ Be it known that all his notes and records have survived World War II, because of the devoted care of the writer to preserve them, in spite of the many evacuations taking place due to the hostile activities of the enemy and of the outlaws. On many occasions, the writer was asked; “What is your purpose of writing this History? Are you ordered by someone or some government authority to gather facts extensively as this? The reply was and is always is “It is my own volition, at my own expense and sacrifice with the only aim of awakening the memory of those to whom memory is due”.
