Since then, they have performed on BBC Radio 3's In Tune and across the country at major festivals, concert series and venues such as Wigmore Hall, Petworth Festival, Leicester International Music Festival's lunchtime concert series, Lake District Summer Music Patron's Series, Stroud Green Festival, Romsey Abbey, Old Royal Naval College (Greenwich) and Brasenose College, University of Oxford. Following their success as a 2018 Stroud Green Festival Ensemble Scheme winner, in 2019-20 they embarked on their first UK tour with 'ReCentred', a concert experience of Elizabeth Maconchy's life and works. Other recent highlights include their year as the 2018/19 Wigmore Hall Fellowship Ensemble, reaching the finals of the 2019 St Martin-in-the-Fields Chamber Competition, giving the world premiere of 'Six Movements for String Quartet' (2019) at Wigmore Hall, and being chosen as 2019-20 Making Music Selected Artists. In March 2020, they were selected for ChamberStudio's Mentorship scheme. The Bloomsbury Quartet is passionate about developing current and future generations of music-lovers, successfully engaging them with their unique combination of creative and thought-provoking programming, innovative concert formats, and participatory projects.
