The admission fee is 4,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for seniors. We are crossing the Okjeong Lake Suspension Bridge to head to Bungeoseom. It is a magnificent suspension bridge connecting Yosan Park and Bungeoseom. It is a pedestrian bridge with a total length of 420 meters and a width of 1.5 meters. Okjeong Lake is said to be Korea's first multi-purpose dam. Completed in 1965, it has a reservoir capacity of approximately 460 million cubic meters. Currently, perhaps due to the drought, the bottom is exposed. When viewed from above, the island resembles a crucian carp, hence the name Bungeoseom (Carp Island). It has been renovated into an ecological park following the opening of the suspension bridge. Looking at the map of Bungeoseom Island, the shape of the island certainly resembles a goldfish. Bungeoseom Island covers an area of approximately 22,000 pyeong, and a 4km circular walking trail has been established around it. Photo zones installed throughout the island make you stop in your tracks. This was Okjeongho Bungeoseom Island, where the clear water and surrounding natural scenery are truly outstanding.
