A hommage to Altec 612u / Altec 604E / AVIDITY audio
Soundsample at the end of the slideshow. Another AVIDITY audio DIY project: Making of Altec Lansing 612 utility cabinets with the fine AlNiCo Duplex two-way chassis Altec Lansing 604E-16. A slideshow with soundsample video in the end. It took a few months and patience to order & collect the different components. The cabinets were made of birch plywood with an american red oak veneer by Mr. Cliff Anderson, Texas, USA and came via airfreight to Germany.The autotransfomer crossovers were made by Mr. Werner Jagusch, Germany. Front grille cloth is a Marshal guitar amp type called " small waves", made of paper. Final finish: DIY. Feel free to ask any questions...
