She stated, "I am truly delighted and honored to receive such a wonderful award." Prime Minister Takaichi appeared wearing pearl and diamond earrings worth approximately 1.8 million yen and a necklace worth approximately 8 million yen. Having visited India the day before, she commented, "I was also wearing a pearl necklace during the summit meeting. I think the reason I received this award might be because I always wear pearl accessories." She revealed that most of the pearls she usually wears are "mementos from my mother," and added, "I cherish them, shortening long pieces and using the leftover pearls to make earrings."
