The goal is to consolidate and manage adoption records from the private sector under a public institution, permanently preserving them and increasing adoptees' access to information. However, allegations have recently surfaced that this project has been flawed over the past decade. From scanning records to installing them online, the entire process has been flawed. The Ministry of Health and Welfare has identified the issues and launched an audit. Adoptees expressed outrage over the alleged mismanagement of their records, stating, "Our records are our everything."
