We just packed our bags in 2 hours and hit the road: from Austria to the coast of Croatia 🇦🇹➡️🇭🇷. 📍 Route: Vienna → Halstatt → Graz → Tucepi → Makarska → Graz → Vienna → Poland 🏨 Where we stayed and how much it cost: Vienna (1 night) — €107.94 Mitterberg near Halstatt (1 night) — €140 Tucepi (3 nights, with breakfast) — €740 Makarska (2 nights, top hotel) — €538.20 Graz (1 night, with breakfast) — €165.67 💶 Total for accommodation: €1,691.81 🚗 Travel expenses: Vignettes and autobahns — €64–80 Fuel (Wroclaw ↔ Croatia) — €264–330 🍽️ Food: Coffee: €4–5 Lunch for two: from €50 💶 For a week: ~€400 📊 Total cost of the trip (2 adults + child): ➡️ ~€2,400–2,500 📍 What we saw: 🇦🇹 Vienna - beautiful architecture, but parking problems 🇦🇹 Halstatt - a mountain wonder with unpredictable weather 🇦🇹 Graz - a city for a short stop and a walk 🇭🇷 Tucepi - the first acquaintance with the Adriatic, albeit with cold water 🇭🇷 Makarska - the best accommodation, many tourists and crazy prices ✅ Pros of the trip: Nature and climate 🌿 Emotions and unpredictability 🚀 A new experience of traveling with a child 👶 ❌ Cons: High prices 💸 Difficulty finding accommodation without a reservation 🏨 Unstable weather ☔ 💡 Tip: If you are planning a similar trip - consider all additional costs, think about air tickets (sometimes cheaper ✈️) and book accommodation in advance if you do not want to overpay. 📍 Summary: Spontaneous travel is always about emotions, freedom and new experiences.
