A CSX Coal Train with DPU, the Transfer and a Late Amtrak Held Up by a Stack

While we're still waiting for Amtrak 19 we see a CSX coal train approaching so we go check it out. One of the NS stack trains is pulling up to the end of the yard. We watch the coal train as it's more interesting. Even though this is an empty coal train it still has a mid train DPU. The NS stack train stops for a bit before backing up again. Over at the Greenville signal we see Amtrak 19 is finally ready to leave but it can't. The NS stack train sits there for at least another half hour not moving at all. EVENTUALLY the NS stack finally leaves and Amtrak 19 is now leaving 2 1/2 hours late. Later we hear something approaching but no engine noise. It's the NS morning transfer backing home. We follow the classic SD40-2's as they do their thing. And as for backing along comes a CSX freight backing in from Pine street. Lots of coil cars in the consist. EMD 4551 leading from the rear. They stop before reaching the yard. And down at Jefferson street we see an empty BNSF coal train waiting. It could wait a long time and it's getting hot so I'm heading home. Thanks for watching!
