The VVT Solenoid can break in half when removed forcibly or improperly. This tutorial provides some tip on how you can minimize the risk of it breaking during extraction. The VVT (Variable Valve Timing) solenoid or Oil Control Valve controls the oil pressure that actuates the cams which determine the length of time the valves remain open or closed to maximize the engine's power generation and performance.
