As part of a special birthday trip, we took the Erzbergbahn from Vordernberg Markt to the Erzberg station. From there, we continued on by train. On the second day, I documented a former ski lift in Vordernberg. Afterwards, we took the bus to Eisenerz to visit the local show mine. We spent the night in Vordernberg. What do Vordernberg and Eisenerz have in common? A long mining tradition, but also a lot of empty buildings and lost places!
