The Young'uns Talk to Strangers - Ghafoor's Bus (Ghafoor Hussain)

In August 2017, Teesside folk group The Young'uns embarked on a journey to meet the people who inspired the songs on their forthcoming album, Strangers. In this episode, The Young'uns head to Middlesbrough to meet Ghafoor Hussain. Ghafoor’s Bus celebrates the inspirational humanitarian work of Teesside Grandad Ghafoor Hussain who in the winter of 2015 spent thousands of pounds of his own money in buying a bus and converting it into a travelling kitchen to feed refugees and migrants across Europe. In December 2015 in the refugee camp at Dunkirk he was serving three thousand hot meals and ten thousand cups of tea a day.
