Você Chama de Mato. Seus Avós Chamavam de Jantar.
Every day you uproot a plant with more calcium than milk. Another with more omega-3 than spinach. Another with more protein than beans. And you don't know the name of any of them. Five plants grow in every backyard in Brazil. They were forbidden by the colonizers. They crossed the Atlantic in the memories of enslaved peoples. They nourished quilombos (maroon settlements), kitchens in Minas Gerais, tables in Maranhão. And today they are uprooted before breakfast. This video tells the story of amaranth, purslane, ora-pro-nobis (a type of edible leaf), sow thistle, and roselle. Where they came from. What they carry. And what we lost when we stopped recognizing them. The mistake was never the plant. It was us stopping to look. ────────────────────────────── 📌 Chapters 00:00 What we uproot every day 01:04 The story of five plants 07:52 What to do with each one 16:08 Who still keeps this knowledge 23:04 The conversation that disappeared before Plants ────────────────────────────── 🌿 AgroSub — A piece of knowledge a week that the earth never forgot
