The Erosion of Trust in Academia? Responses from Universities and Research Organizations in Europe

This opening plenary looked at whether public trust in academia is eroding and what universities can do to rebuild it. Speakers explored the source of that distrust and discussed science communication, academic freedom and international cooperation as ways forward. The panel brought together Aurora partner universities, a social scientist studying trust in science, and representatives from the European Commission and DAAD.
