Getting Started | Move, Draw, Type in Cavalry.

Get comfortable inside Cavalry by learning how to create, move, and draw in your scene. This tutorial is all about building confidence with the basics. You’ll learn how the interface works, how to navigate your scene, and how to create and manipulate shapes before putting everything together in a simple design inspired by Daily Minimal. We’ll cover: • Creating layers using the menu, toolbar, and add layers panel • Moving around the scene and working with tools • Understanding shapes, primitives, and paths • Drawing with the pen and pencil tools • Importing assets and working with textures • Using masks, blend modes, and basic composition techniques • Adding and styling text We’ll then bring everything together by rebuilding a simple scene, helping you apply what you’ve learned in a practical way. This video focuses on drawing and composition. In the next part of the series, we’ll start introducing animation and motion. Inspiration: This project was inspired by the work of Pierre Voisin at Daily Minimal.
