Elderly charged thousands in fees for home care packages | 7.30

It's understandable, given the coronavirus crisis in our aged care sector, that more and more elderly people are seeking care while staying in their own homes. Despite the Aged Care Royal Commission urging immediate action, one year on there are still more than 100,000 people waiting for a home care package. But those lucky enough to have one still face fees of thousands of dollars charged by their provider – and some are paying more in fees than they spend on actual care.
