The greatest appeal of the XK-009 is undoubtedly the shocking operating sound it makes when a cassette is inserted. It was a pioneer in incorporating a cassette stabilizer, ahead of other companies. AIWA truly excels at equipping its products with innovative features in every generation. While AIWA heads tend to have weak durability, this particular unit shows minimal deterioration, allowing us to finally hear the true AIWA sound. It's in remarkably good condition. The internal structure is also relatively clean, which is a big plus for me, as I prioritize ease of maintenance.
