From P.E.I. potatoes to the world's best French fries | We Are The Best | CBC

When we think of P.E.I., we imagine sandy beaches, red soil and delicious potatoes. In New Annan, Cavendish Farms has been growing, collecting and processing iron-rich spuds for 37 years. Their goal: to make the best french fry. What started out as a 25 truck operation has grown into a thriving enterprise, with approximately 1.5 billion pounds of frozen french fries sold every year. Join chef Ricardo Larrivée and Cavendish Farms president Robert Irving as they tour the processing plant and find out just want goes into making a quality fry.
