What do visitors learn at Butser Ancient Farm? - Part 2
Nestled in the hills of the South Down National Park, Butser Ancient Farm is a unique historical research site that has given archaeologist the opportunity to study life in ancient Britain. The farm displays ongoing constructions of ancient buildings based on real sites, dating from the Stone Age through the Iron Age and Roman Britain, and finishing with the Anglo-Saxons. We also grow crops from prehistory and keep rare breeds of animals, including pigs, goats and sheep. Butser have a full programme of special events including fantastic Celtic festivals and workshops, such as metallurgy, Iron Age cooking, bushcraft skills or felting. It’s a truly memorable family day out on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. In this episode, which is part 2 of a 4 part series, we spoke to the director Maureen Page and discovered what the thousands of visitors who go every year learn about life in ancient Britain, and what activities they can do whilst there. http://www.butserancientfarm.co.uk/ About Focus:- If you are interested in a corporate or promotional video or ISDN audio services, please contact us on (+44) 23 8044 8822 or [email protected] For more information, please see our websites: http://www.focusbiz.co.uk http://www.focus-studios.co.uk or keep in touch via Twitter / focusbiz
