𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐋 Custom 1994 Northern Elevators, The Davisville Centre (1920 Yonge Street) Midtown Toronto

2/24/2026 These are 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐀 𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐓, to this day, the Best Northern Elevators I've found! The elevator to the Parking levels is located right in the center of the lobby, and is Glass, even though it's only viewable from its upper half. Level P1 Doubles as a lower lobby, I started down there as I came in from the entrance to the Davisville Subway Station. There are two pairs of two elevators, both at each end of the building. They feel like they travel at 350 feet per minute, mind you I did not speed test them, but they sure felt like it, but that's pretty fast for only 6 floors! What makes these custom you may be asking? Well for one, these use Dewhurst US89 fixtures which Northern didn't use pretty often, custom floor indicators reminiscent to what OTIS used for their Elevonic 401s and 411s, the hall lanterns are split into two internally, there are two lights inside them lighting up the upper and lower halfs, and the best feature of all, the Chimes! Also the cabs of these elevators are among the nicest I've seen!
