With the Senate's approval of the new Highway Code, penalties for those who break the law will become more severe starting December 14. In fact, driving under the influence of alcohol now carries a prison sentence, as well as fines or increased license suspension and revocation, and #motorbox wanted to put it to the test. Five editors representing the vast majority of the normal driving type took the breathalyzer test with the help of #dräger specialists, who supplied the Alcotest 7000 device. This portable, precision instrument will soon be in service with law enforcement, replacing the current model. The breathalyzer test simulated a meal with friends, starting with an aperitif with beer and sparkling wine, followed by three glasses of red wine, and ending with a small glass of #limoncello, measuring everyone's blood alcohol content after each drink. Different physical builds, age, gender, and whether or not they drink are essential factors in the measurement and the result. We then measured the time it took to get within the legal limit. There were confirmations, but also surprises.
