مزُّور يدشن Milk-Co: آلية صناعية مبتكرة لتثمين الحليب المغربي بالفقيه بن صالح

Mr. Riad Mezouar, Minister of Industry and Trade, inaugurated the innovative Milk-Co industrial processing facility at the Centrale Danone factory in Fkih Ben Salah today. The inauguration was attended by Mr. Imad El Bakali, CEO of the company, along with a number of partners and representatives of local authorities. The launch of this project comes in implementation of the Royal Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, calling for the strengthening of national industry. It is part of the Industrial Innovation Support Program and aligns with the objectives of enhancing the visibility of the #Made_in_Morocco brand. The project represents a total investment of 60.2 million dirhams, aiming to boost the competitiveness of the national dairy sector, increase local added value, and reduce reliance on imported components. The Milk-Co facility utilizes advanced milk fractionation technology based on microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration. This technology allows for the separation of essential components such as proteins, lactose, and minerals, which are used in the production of yogurt, cheese, and protein-rich dairy drinks, thus maximizing the added value of every liter of locally produced milk. The project falls within the framework of Centrale Danone's integrated model, which relies on more than 40,000 partner farmers, over 1,150 milk collection points, and four production units, thus contributing to the sustainability of livestock farming, particularly for small-scale producers. Mr. Riad Mezouar emphasized that the Milk-Co project embodies Morocco's commitment to supporting a more innovative and sovereign national industry. He added that the Ministry aims, through these projects, to increase the added value of national production systems, gradually replace certain imports, and develop industrial solutions designed and manufactured locally. For his part, Mr. Imad El Bakali, CEO of Centrale Danone, stated that Milk-Co is a source of great pride for the company and all its teams. He affirmed that it reflects the company's ability to develop innovative local industrial solutions for adding value to milk collected from partner farmers, and that the choice of the Fkih Ben Salah plant is strategic for the company. In addition to its industrial dimensions, the project is in line with Centrale Danone’s sustainability commitments, as it contributes, through improved utilization of raw materials and reduced waste, to supporting the company’s efforts to rationalize water consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.
