Italy's HIDDEN GEM Region: Falling in love with LE MARCHE | Italy Road Trip Ep. 3
Italy Vlog episode 3: LE MARCHE, ITALY. This is the third episode from our road trip through Italy. In the previous two episodes we visited classic sights, such as the Colosseum and Vatican City and tried some of the best restaurants in Rome, from innovative slices of Pizza, to delicious pasta and truffle dishes. In this video we arrive in Le Marche (aka the Marches), which is a region on the east coast of Italy. We spend a great day driving around Le Marche, trying out local specialities, enjoying stunning views and exploring the medieval towns of Ascoli Piceno and Ripatransone. Most tourists visiting Italy will know the famous regions of Tuscany or Umbria, but Le Marche is often overlooked. The people that do visit, however, tend to fall in love with the region, so we were very excited to explore it ourselves! The Marches are often compared to Tuscany, as they both have stunning hilly landscapes, lots of medieval towns and local specialities. But as tourism isn’t as prominent yet and the region is also heavily influenced by its proximity to the coast, visiting Le Marche offers a unique experience in Italy. ➡️ Subscribe if you want to come along for the journey! 🇮🇹 After our stay in Le Marche, we’ll drive to Tuscany, where we’ll be staying close to Montepulciano and San Gimignano. Our road trip ends in Florence, where we’ll also spend a few days. 🍽️ Restaurants and places in this video: 0:00 - Start 1:46 - Ascoli Piceno 2:31 - Siamo Fritti - Wine Bar, Fritti e Specialità Enogastronomiche: https://goo.gl/maps/zWRSwLZudUymLDPk8 5:05 - Gelateria Arcobaleno: https://goo.gl/maps/sGF9AgNmaaBGe7vD6 7:18 - Ripatransone 9:09 - Barone Rosso: https://goo.gl/maps/eqWfReB4kQxdABjW8 👋 We are Zoe and Simon and when we're not working or staying at home due to global travel restrictions, we love to travel whenever we can.
