The 69-meter-tall golden Buddha statue, visible from afar, and the mystical emerald world within the five-story pagoda were truly jaw-dropping. Without any local friends, I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but I watched the Thai people praying earnestly and tried to imitate them. I even lit incense, drew fortunes, and attached gold leaf to the Buddha statue! Although it wasn't perfect, I shared their fervent prayers and prayed for peace and blessings for everyone.
