Ramayan - EP 37 - Sugriva's Agony. Rama's Vow to Kill Bali and Display of Power."

Sugriva's Agony: Sugriva explains to Lord Rama the reason behind the fierce enmity between him and his elder brother, Bali. During a battle with a demon named Mayavi, Bali entered a cave and instructed Sugriva to stand guard at the entrance. After waiting for an entire year, Sugriva saw blood flowing out of the cave, assumed Bali had been killed by the demon, and sealed the cave's entrance with a massive rock. The ministers crowned Sugriva as the new king, but when Bali eventually returned, he considered Sugriva a traitor, exiled him from the kingdom, and seized his wife. Sugriva then took refuge on Mount Rishyamuk, a place where Bali cannot enter due to a deadly curse from Sage Matang. Rama's Vow to Kill Bali: Moved by Sugriva's suffering and pitiful condition, Lord Rama takes a solemn vow to kill Bali before sunset and restore Sugriva's kingdom as well as his wife. Rama's Display of Power: Sugriva was deeply terrified of Bali's extraordinary strength, recalling how Bali had killed the giant demon Dundubhi and tossed his massive body miles away. To eliminate Sugriva's doubts and prove his divine capability, Lord Rama casually kicks Dundubhi's heavy skeleton far away with his toe and successfully pierces seven Tala trees simultaneously with just a single arrow. Witnessing this astonishing display of power, Sugriva gains complete faith in Lord Rama's victory, after which they proceed towards Kishkindha to challenge Bali to a battle
