Four months ago, Olga and her husband bought a farmstead near Brest. They planned to demolish the 1938 house and use the land as a dacha. But things didn't go according to plan. It turned out the old log house was in excellent condition, the grounds included an apple orchard, a vast field of hay, and... no fence. Now, this will be more than just a dacha, but an entire ethno-museum of Belarusian life and a modern recreation space. In this episode, we caught Olga at the very beginning of her long journey. The house is still full of old things (some of which she's carefully setting aside for a future exhibition), and outside, there's a tree swing and a heart carved out of the grass by her husband. Their plans include turning the brick garages into panoramic houses, and the century-old house into a place where they can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the past. Why aren't they afraid to live without a fence? How did the idea to preserve the house instead of demolishing it come about? And what do the children say?
