The Barnfind Hymer is going Lithium! 🔋⚡️ It is Sunday again, and that means: time for a major update on the Barnfind Hymer! Today we are tackling a crucial component: the electrical system. The old lead-acid battery didn't survive the winter, so we are going for gold. Together with Sjoerd Kuipers from Kampeertechniek Zuid Holland, we are installing a high-end system. What are we going to do? ✅ Install a Powerextreme X210 Lithium (LiFePo4) battery. ✅ Install a 2000W Xenteq inverter for all our 230V needs. ✅ Explain why a charge booster (DC-DC charger) is essential for a Lithium upgrade. ✅ Replace the solar controller with a Lithium-compatible variant. Sjoerd explains in detail the dangers of not making any adjustments (think of a burnt-out alternator!) and how to achieve the correct charging curve.
