The Jesus Lizard - Nub (Guitar & Bass Cover/Lesson)

The guitar was a challenge here. Not just the playing but the sound as well. I just couldn't recreate that raw metallic tone they achieved in the studio recording. Duane Denison seems to use aluminum neck guitars (Travis Bean to be specific), and those are notorious for the harsh tones they can pull off. As for the cover and tabs, I aimed at doing them as close as possible to how they play it on the album. I won't lie though, the tab on the solo part can get a bit chaotic. I did the best I could, but it was incredibly challenging tabbing it with all the slides that are going on. Song by The Jesus Lizard, from Goat, released February 21, 1991.
