Thank you !! ________________________________________________________________________________ Clemmensen reduction is a chemical reaction described as a reduction of ketones (or aldehydes) to alkanes using zinc amalgam and concentrated hydrochloric acid. The substrate must be tolerant of the strongly acidic conditions of the Clemmensen reduction.
