I stayed at a lodging in Shiobara Onsen for the first time in about a year. While there are many hot spring inns along the Hoki River, I stayed at Rengetsu, operated by Kyoritsu Resort and located in Shionoyu Onsen along the mountain. Opening in July 2022, it's a new lodging in Shiobara Onsen. I parked my car in the designated parking lot and was picked up and taken to the inn in the inn's car. Using a slope car to travel to the main building is unusual, and it was my first experience. At Rengetsu, every room had an open-air hot spring bath, so I could enjoy the hot spring whenever I wanted. As for the hot springs, there was a large public bath with a variety of baths, as well as three private baths that were open 24 hours a day and could be enjoyed without a reservation, so I thought it was an inn where you could fully enjoy the hot springs. Dinner and breakfast were served in semi-private rooms, and the food served was delicious and had a wide variety of dishes. My impression after staying here was that this inn is the perfect place to enjoy the hot springs, food, and spend a relaxing time.
