100% WEIGHT FORWARD - The Wrench Drill 🔧 Without any doubt, the number one deficiency in amateur golfers is their inability to control the LOW-POINT of their swing, or said another way, the CONTACT. Most golfers spend their days eternally frustrated with their inconsistent ball striking, meandering their way around the golf course with a medley of mis-hits! Topped shots, thin shots, and fat shots are all part of the highest handicappers repertoire of shots. However, it doesn't need to be this way. With a very basic understanding of golf swing geometry and the location of the swing's low-point, any golfer can quickly position themselves in the most optimal way to ensure the low-point of their swing is AFTER the ball and the contact can (finally) become satisfying and rewarding. In this video, I'll share the concept of placing ALL of your weight on your front foot and turning around the front hip. Using your lead hip as a bolt and the pelvis as a "WRENCH" helps to keep the bottom of your swing in front of the golf ball more reliably than the golfer who shifts their weight around throughout the swing. This had the added benefit of helping you to swing more IN-to-OUT which helps you to DRAW the ball, rather than SLICE. Try it and let me know how you get on...!
