Medieval castle restoration done right! | Castle of Pierrefonds

Hello and welcome to the mightily impressive castle of Pierrefonds. Though destroyed in the 17th century, it was given a total makeover in the 18th by none other than our good friend Eugène Viollet-le-Duc! He not only restored but also reimagined the castle. What remains is an impressive looking medieval fortress with a fantasy 19th century Romantic twist! Certainly worth a visit for any castle and Medieval enthusiast. Thanks for watching!
