Despite the rain in Puri, millions of devotees have arrived for darshan. At the appointed time, Lord Jagannath, along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, will depart for the Gundicha Temple. The nine-day journey will conclude with a return to the Srimandir via the Bahuda Yatra. Besides Puri, preparations for the Rath Yatra are underway at the Sector 121 temple in Noida. Bhubaneswar artist Aleshwar Rao has crafted miniature chariots from betel nut leaves.
