My Crash-Damaged BMW 320d Is Finally Coming Back Together

We continue our car repair journey on the BMW, addressing the previously identified broken steering wheel trim and a blown fuse that affected the steering wheel's functionality. This automotive project gets a new challenge when a newly discovered broken bracket puts the entire front assembly on hold. As a dedicated mechanic, I'm tackling these issues head-on, including diagnosing the fuse box and performing electrical maintenance to get everything back in working order. In this episode, I'm piecing together the radiator bracket, lower crash arm, and the main crash bar to get the front end sketched in. We also get the replacement headlights installed and tested (they work!) and finally swap out our temporary electrical fix for a brand-new OEM power distributor unit. Just when it felt like we were making massive progress toward getting the car legalized and on the road, the scan tool delivered some bad news. We are diving into blown fuses, locked-out hood latches, and deploying pedestrian protection struts that the ECU is refusing to clear.
