Instagram -   / julietsear   Subscribe for more - http://goo.gl/sgJQPq ________ You can create any iconic character cake in this style, just order the edible images in advance, I got mine from Eat Your Photo (eatyourphoto.co.uk) We made this cake using 3 x 8” round sponges, the ingredients for the sponges are; 450g very soft butter or spread 450g golden caster sugar 9 medium eggs 450g self raising flour 1 tsp baking powder Salt to taste 2 tsp vanilla bean paste Mix it up as shown, bake on 170c fan, leave to cool We used almost 2kg buttercream in total for the filling and second coat, the buttercream masterclass is here -    • HOW TO MAKE BUTTERCREAM! My Basic #Butterc...   You’ll need about 650g softened unsalted butter and 1.3kg sifted icing sugar and vanilla. Jam of your choice (optional) Food colourings; Baby blue, mint and apple green, egg yellow, caramel ivory The base board is 14” round and we iced this with almost 1kg sugar paste/fondant coloured a golden yellow Aimee and I used some white sugar paste for the edible images backing and the edible images were from Eat Your Photo You’ll also need a grass nozzle and a round no 2 or 3 for the message. A digestive biscuit or 2 is fun for some texture on the base.
