‘Pathetic’: Starmer was ‘uniquely ill-equipped’ to deal with UK issues

​Spiked Online Editor Tom Slater says the British public did not just “hate” outgoing Prime Minister Keir Starmer; they started to think he was "slightly pathetic”. ​“Keir Starmer is uniquely ill-equipped to deal with some of the big issues that are roiling society,” claimed Mr Slater. ​“Immigration is one of the biggest concerns of the public at the moment, and yet he is a human rights lawyer who really doesn’t want to go anywhere near this particular question,” he told Sky News host Caroline Marcus. ​“He didn’t want to do what was necessary to put the country back on track. ​“People did not just hate him; I think they started to think he was slightly pathetic. “That is a terrible position for a prime minister to be in.”
