How to study and prune a Japanese maple into a bonsai tree.

We've been pruning lots of large scale Japanese maples on this channel and we thought we'd do a video of us creating a Japanese maple bonsai. The same techniques apply here! The 1-2-3 rule, the thinning of the branches, the tree philosophy, it's all the same! If you take the tree in this video and imagine it as a large scale tree on your yard, a bird should be able to fly thru the canopy and perch on the branches.
