Moral injury from the ‘Brereton saga’ is ‘incalculable’: Catherine McGregor
Sky News host Catherine McGregor says the “Brereton saga continues” and the moral injury it is inflicting upon the ADF is “incalculable”. Discussing the federal budget, she said the government took some “very positive steps” in the area of defence. “But the Brereton saga continues … let’s be really clear about this, the process has destroyed the Special Air Service regiment effectively,” Ms McGregor told Sky News host Alan Jones. “This star-chamber process continues so that the point of the spear is now combat ineffective, in the most deteriorating security environment I’ve lived in.”
