Tools needed: 1/4” nut driver for drill or 1/4” socket w/ratchet Adjustable wrench Putty knive Flathead screwdriver Gas leak detector Teflon tape for gas or gas pipe thread putty Butyl tape 1” wide 1/2” brass check valve (for hot water) threaded both sides 1/2” brass nipple threaded both sides You only need the last two items if you can’t remove the ones on old tank.
