It is a good and less crowded option to gorge the Ramzan delicacies and street food fare. Started at the Iconic Fanoos and had Chicken Shawarma, Mutton Sheek and Chicken Sheek roll. While the chicken shwarma was simple but hearty with the juicy chicken mince and little mayonnaise. Mutton Sheek was brilliant with the moist and buttery kheema mear. Chicken sheek was somewhat dry. Hopped on to Makkah Cafe next and had the Khoya Naan, Egg Bonda and Lemon Tea. Didn't expect a silky soft, sponge like crust in Khoya naan. Mind blowing. Egg bond was another surprise element, which dissected into half and sprinkled with salt and pepper, tasted divine. Walked 200 metres from Makkah Cafe and reached the legendary Siddique Kabab Centre. There was a long queue, which was expected but it moved fast. Ordered the evergreen Phal and Sheek with Seviyan. Though Phal tasted great, but the Sheek was the show-stealer. Crumbly, piping hot minced meat dripping with juices, made the taste bids crave for more with each bite. Walked back to another iconic spot in Johnson Market, Khazana Food Paradise. Had one of the best Beef Biryanis with the exceptionally tender meat. Mild on spices but rich in flavours, the Biryani at Khazana will mesmerize you. Ended the food walk at Johnson market at Madeena stores by having a refreshing Nannari Special Soda. So satisfying... One remarkable thing about all these places in Johnson Market is, people at all these eateries were highly hospitable despite the crowd. As all of these places run year around, will visit them again regularly to devour these special delicacies.
