Stepping stone method is used to check the optimality of the initial basic feasible solution determined by any of the ibfs methods i.e. northwest corner rule, least cost method, vogel's approximation method. In stepping stone method we try to find out the cell evaluation for all unoccupied cells. First we allocate +1 unit to all unoccupied cells and calculate net change in T.C.(Cell evaluation) for that loop.
