Stone slab mini moss garden (self-watering)
Another miniature tabletop moss garden.. this time on a stone slab that I found a few years ago high in the mountains near one of my favorite glaciers. I love going into the mountains and discovering little “worlds” built up on the stones. There is such a beauty to be found in simple local plants that manage to grow in a little bit of soil on top of a rock. I tried to copy what nature does effortlessly. The soil is simply soil from the ground nothing special.. and the plants are only “weeds” which were growing on the side of the street. I don’t expect the creation to stay as it is for more than a few weeks but it will be fun to see it change and then when it is too overgrown I can replant it again. The little world is also set up to self-water with a wick and a tiny water reservoir. #mossgarden #minituremossgarden #natureart
