WW2 WAR DEFENCES Heavy Anti-Aircraft Gun Battery, Fathingloe, Dover.
#WW2 #Dover #GunEmplacements A little West of the town of Dover are the remains of a WW2 Heavy Anti Aircraft Battery here in Fathingloe. Originally named D1 with 3.7" guns mounted on the site at the beginning of WW2. A circular road links the 4 concrete emplacements, each is surrounded by a ring of shell lockers. Other buildings including shell stores/magazines and a guard room plus a central command post are also onsite. A crew accommodation area would have been around 300 yards East of the battery, these buildings have since been demolished with only foundations remaining. Part of operation Diver, against the V1 bombers. If you've enjoyed this video please give it a like and consider subscribing to our channel with new videos uploaded most Sunday afternoons..
