Como é a reforma de um veleiro - Reforma do meu barco Vitória Régia

This is the first video in a series where I'll show a bit of the renovation of my sailboat, Vitória Régia. The Vitória Régia is a wooden sailboat that was built in Maranhão in the 1980s. It was taken to the coast of São Paulo to offer tours to tourists. After a few years, it was brought to Florianópolis, where it was also used for tours. The former owner invited me to be the captain of the boat. I served in that role for a few years until he proposed that I buy the boat. After the purchase, I used the sailboat for some time as a tourist boat, and then I started preparing it for renovation. The boat's renovation has already lasted approximately five years and will probably take another year to finish. The sailboat is being prepared to be my home and for long trips; it will even be able to sail on ice. The renovation is being carried out on my property, which is located on the riverbank and has easy access to the sea. We built a shed to protect the boat from the weather and also workshops for carrying out the work. I have a carpentry shop and a metal workshop here equipped with all the tools and machines necessary for the project. In this video, I show a general overview of how the work is progressing at this moment. I show the deck and the superstructure, all made of wood. The anchors are already installed at the bow, and at the stern, we already have a very comfortable table with a freezer. Also at the stern, the davit is already installed. This is the structure that will support the support boat and the solar panels. As the Vitória Régia sailboat is a boat with classic concepts, I decided to maintain an external helm, despite all the electronic navigation equipment that will be installed in the internal helm, which even has a cabin so that the sailor responsible for navigation can sleep next to his post. The galley will be complete, with a good countertop, stove with gimbal, freezer, and microwave. In the saloon, the table is already ready, as are the benches, which will still receive the upholstery. We also have a heater for cold days and a sunroof to take advantage of the sunlight. The sailboat has five cabins and capacity for up to twelve passengers. The two aft cabins are the largest, but all will have a double bed. Each cabin has its own sink, and we also have two full bathrooms tiled with tiles on the boat.
