Solo Canoe Camping in Adirondack Silence

Solo Canoe Camping in Silence – Adirondacks After Ice-Out After a long Adirondack winter finally lets go, I return to the water for my first solo canoe camping trip of the year. With the ice gone and the ponds quiet, this early spring trip is less about adventure—and more about solitude, silence, and being back in a place that feels like home. Starting at Follensby Clear Pond, I travel through Horseshoe Pond and Little Polliwog Pond before reaching a peaceful campsite on Polliwog Pond. Along the way, the stillness of early spring, the sounds of the water, and the call of loons create a calm, immersive wilderness experience. At camp, I settle into the rhythm of the trip—building a fire, cooking a simple meal over open flame, and letting the quiet of the woods take over. Cold water, empty ponds, and total solitude make this one of the most peaceful times of year to be out canoe camping in the Adirondacks. If you enjoy relaxing outdoor videos, wilderness solitude, and quiet canoe trips, this video captures the calm and beauty of early spring in the backcountry. This trip is also featured as the spring segment in my full 4-season canoe camping film: 👉    • 1 Hour Relaxing Canoe Camping in All 4 Sea...   #canoecamping #solocamping #adirondacks #springcamping #relaxing
