DIY Fast FID for Splicing Synthetic Winch Rope
I have been fascinated with the Factor55 Fast FID and have wanted one for a long time-- but that price tag was just too much for me. In this video I show how I used some cable pulling grips and dryer vent cleaning rods to create something similar. I do have to say that the smaller cable puller may be too small for 1/2 inch winch rope. I recommend a cable puller that can accommodate a 15-20 mm. cable.
