Why I Like Sand for PLANT PROPAGATION / Picking a Propagation Medium
When propagating plants you have a lot of options for rooting mediums. Rooting medium is simply what substance you are rooting the cutting in. Rooting mediums that are commonly used are peat, perlite, vermiculite, coir, and what I'm talking about today: sand. Sand is a good versatile rooting medium that can help you root many types of plants. Today I have basil and coleus and rooting subjects. Both of those are plants that need no rooting hormone for success and can also be rooted in water if you choose to.
